Starting with Seorak Mountain in Gangwon Province, fall colors will travel down the mountainsides this week, with a full spectrum of fall color covering the nation.

The season for fall foliage on Seorak Mountain is predicted to peak around Oct. 20, while Mt. Songni in North Chungcheong Province will be at its height on Oct. 26, Mt. Jiri in South Gyeongsang Province on Oct. 29, and Mt. Naejang on Nov. 6.

According to the Korean Meteorological Administration, fall colors have been slower to show this year, but plenty of sunshine promises an especially vibrant display of splashes of yellow, orange, and red foliage.
